El Abrazo (The Embrace) is a sculpture made of Corten steel, which received an award in the III Contest of Artistic and Sculptural Works in Aldaia 1997. It measures 400 x 80 (63) cm. The work shows us, by way of formal synthesis, the act of two people who are about to embrace. An impulsive act for any being. As well as offering us protection it alludes to a union of two beings who communicate, give themselves up to each other, and love each other.
Two beings who meet each other again, an exchange of sensitive and spiritual material, since in every embrace body and soul merge and remain in time. Thus, every embrace humanises people, makes us more compassionate, fills all those voids that we find in the course of our lives and manages to make those unbearable days more bearable.
